Feeling overwhelmed, over tired and emotional...feeling like I have put my hope in the wrong place for a moment.
My hope should not be in friends, in my kids, in a church, in a certain skill or gift. My hope should not be in money or success. My hope should be and is in Jesus, God and the Holy Spirit. All three but ONE.
Earthly things and people bring comfort and joy sometimes but it is not lasting, it is never enough.
God is and always will be enough and eternal, forever.
"We are merely moving shadows, and all our busy rushing ends in
nothing. We heap up wealth, not knowing who will spend it. And so, Lord, where do I put my hope? My only hope is in you." Psalm 39:6-7 (NLT)
